Age Guidelines

Successful library programs are designed with age in mind. Please note this program’s age guidelines will be enforced for all active participants.

Photo Permission

Library workers often take pictures during library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, contact programs@mfplibrary.org.

Registration is required.

Kids can practice their skills and play with other chess players at the library! Participants may bring their own board or use the ones provided by the library.

Free play sessions will not be led by a chess coach/instructor.

Ideal for kids that have an understanding of chess and would like an environment to play with others.

Instructor-led sessions will be held on:

October 16 & 30 at 4:30pm
