Age Guidelines
Successful library programs are designed with age in mind. Please note this program’s age guidelines will be enforced for all active participants.
Photo Permission
Library workers often take pictures during library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, contact programs@mfplibrary.org.

Interested in 3D printing!? All ages are welcome to watch a live demo of the 3D printing process. We will show you how we find and build models, prepare them for printing with slicing software, and set up the machines to print! Attendees will get to choose a preselected small 3D printed lucky charm to take home that can be added to bracelets, necklaces, keychains, cork boards, and more!
Take home info about how patrons ages 12 and up can use the Makerspace’s 3D printers and how patrons of all ages can get started finding, building, and slicing 3D models with free software. Parents of younger students, we promise it’s easy to learn with your child and to use the Makerspace on their behalf!
The following ages are allowed in this program:
- Adults over 18
- Youth 16 – 18 who have a signed parental permission form on file to work independently
- Youth over 12 with a parent in attendance at all times
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
