Age Guidelines
Successful library programs are designed with age in mind. Please note this program’s age guidelines. Attendance at all library programs is subject to staff discretion.
Photo Permission
Library workers often take pictures during library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, contact programs@mfplibrary.org.

The following ages are allowed in this program:
- Adults (18 and older): Eligible to attend independently.
- Youth (16–17 years old): May attend with signed parental consent.
- Youth (10–15 years old):
- Must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
- The parent/adult must actively participate and work alongside the youth during the program.
- Each parent/adult may supervise only one youth.
Please note: Additional siblings or children who are not registered participants may not attend, even as observers. This policy ensures a safe and focused environment for all attendees and instructors.

Do you have a parent/guardian at home who needs a creative outlet?
Have you wanted to do something in the Makerspace, but you havn’t been able to find the time?
Then this class just might be for the both of you!
This series of classes will give you a crash-course in the most popular creative machines we have in the Makerspace. You will learn how to customize designs for each machine and then use them to make them come to life!
Learn how to:

Engrave and cut engineered wood sheets with a laser

Design and customize a sublimation design to press into your wood

Edit and tweak 3D-design(s) on your laptop
& more
Each day will be something new!
There will also be a dedicated lab for you to push your creations even further, or to catch up on the class, on July 31st.

*All participants must consist of one teen and one adult
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
