During this class, we’ll be covering:
Where Do My Files Go? (Digital Storage Best Practices)
Did you just download something and now can’t find it? Did a loved one send you a photo in your email, and you don’t know how to get it? Maybe you saved a document last month and now you need to edit it, yet you can’t remember where you saved it? Well, we are here to help!
Let’s learn where all our digital files go and how to retrieve them. We will also go over some “best practices” for digital storage, and then practice a few in class. We’ll have time for a bit of Q&A and leave with a quick reference guide.
Topics discussed during this class:
Digital storage applications (apps)
Navigating menus and mouse “clicks”
How to move and share files
Get organized, stay organized
Not every Let’s Learn tech class requires the use of a digital device, but it is recommended that you bring in your own personal device(s) if you have a specific question or desire individual (on-topic) help concerning your device. If you do not have a device to bring to the class, please let us know on this registration form so that we can plan to make one of the library’s laptops available during the class. The library’s laptops use Microsoft’s Windows operating system.
