Introduction to Spanish Conversation & Reading offers students with some Spanish knowledge the opportunity to practice Spanish conversation and reading skills, and learn more in-depth grammar. No book is required for this class; all study materials will be provided.
This event is for adults. Children ages 16 and up may attend with an adult.
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to attend this class. Texas Members, TexShare, and Student Passport cards do not qualify for programs requiring a library card. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
Registering for Introduction to Spanish Conversation & Reading will register you for each class meeting in the Fall semester. You will receive an email reminder the day before each scheduled meeting through the end of the year. If you are on the waitlist, you are more than welcome to try and get a seat at the start of the class.
Participants will need to register separately for the Spring semester of Introduction to Spanish Conversation & Reading, which begins January 5th, 2027.
New to learning Spanish? Join us for Beginning Spanish, also meeting weekly on Tuesdays. Beginning Spanish will cover basic vocabulary, such as clothes and food, verb conjugation and other Spanish grammar rules. All levels are welcome in either Beginning Spanish or Introduction to Spanish Conversation & Reading. You can find more information about the Beginning Spanish class by clicking here. Students are welcome to attend either or both classes.
