• The benefits of fall planting: cooler temperatures, more consistent rainfall, and reduced transplant shock.
• Identifying which native wildflowers and grasses are best planted in fall (such as those needing cold stratification).
• Seed placement and watering strategies to encourage germination in spring.
• Matching native tree and shrub species to functional goals—such as shade, privacy, wildlife habitat, or erosion control.

• Monitoring moisture levels during dry spells
