Age Guidelines

Photo Permission

Library workers often take pictures during library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, contact programs@mfplibrary.org.

Looking to add flair to your desk, want to customize your cubical, or maybe you want to make a gift for Dad’s Day? Well then we have just the project for you. Come and design, engrave, and assemble a custom nameplate with us in the Makerspace.

We will help you with the final design, but you can choose what it says, what font you want to use, and even throw in a graphic or two!  Then we will use our ZING laser engraver to put your design onto a piece of laminated hardwood. Finally, we will finish the project by adding a footer. You can then take it home and customize it further with paint, sealant, or maybe even some stickers!

Please register so that we can plan accordingly, but you do not need to stay for the whole session! You are welcome to arrive anytime between 3:00pm-7:00pm and stay for as little or as long as you would like during that program time.

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
