This Creative Studios program is a Create program.

Create programs are designed to teach specific skills under the advice of an instructor, but allow you to decide exactly what your project is and what it looks like. For more step-by-step instruction, try Discover programs, and for independent projects try our Open Studio programs.

Age Guidelines

Successful library programs are designed with age in mind. Please note this program’s age guidelines. Attendance at all library programs is subject to staff discretion. 

Photo Permission

Library workers often take pictures during library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, contact programs@mfplibrary.org.

Familiar with how to use a 3D printer to source, slice, and print objects? In this Create: 3D Models class, learn to use Tinkercad — a program that builds 3D models — to make your own 3D object on the printer! Once you have modeled your object, schedule time to come back to the Studios to print it and watch your creation being built layer by layer. 

The following ages are allowed in this program:

• Adults (18 and older)
• Youth (10 and older):  
  • Must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
  • The parent/adult must actively participate and work alongside the youth during the program.
  • Each parent/adult may supervise only one youth. 

Please note: Additional siblings or children who are not registered participants may not attend, even as observers. This policy ensures a safe and focused environment for all attendees and instructors.
