This Creative Studios program is an Open Studio.
Open Studio programs provide space and tools for attendees to work on their own projects at their own pace, with more informal guidance from staff. For more extensive instruction and skills training, try Discover and Create programs.

Registration for this event is required.

Age Guidelines
Successful library programs are designed with age in mind. Please note this program’s age guidelines. Attendance at all library programs is subject to staff discretion.
Photo Permission
Library workers often take pictures during library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, contact programs@mfplibrary.org.

Join Gina for this Open Studios in Textiles & Craft, and utilize the library’s sewing, textile, and crafting equipment. Work on your sewing and knitting projects, or use our paper crafting tools such as Cricuts, die-cutters, and foiling machines.
If you don’t have a personal project, but would like some additional help to improve your skills after taking our Discover: Sewing class, we have some sample beginner and intermediate projects available to complete during these Open Studio hours. The Fiber Arts Supply List file attached to this program’s post includes a list of supplies to purchase beforehand, or from the Library, in order to complete one of these projects.
Registration requires some project details so that we can plan accordingly. Please cancel if you are unable to attend, so waitlisted patrons may have the opportunity to participate.
Open Studios programs are designed for adults 18+. A valid Library of Things library card is required to attend Open Studios programs; please include your LoT library card number when you register so that we can confirm your registration.
If you are interested in other equipment Creative Studios has to offer, such as laser engravers, 3D printers, or woodworking tools, etc., please sign up for Open Studio: Makerspace & Craft (most Saturday afternoons).
