The Bulverde/Spring Branch Library and the Friends of the Library offer activities and programs for all ages.  Some of these include:

Great Decisions Discussion group - everyone is welcome to join this discussion group based on the Great Decisions program from the Foreign Policy Association.  Participants are encouraged to read the booklet about the topics and hear from a speaker on some aspect related to the topic.  Refreshments are provided.  The group will also watch a recording on the weekly topic prior to the speaker presentation.  Discussion will follow and participants are encouraged to fill out ballots regarding the topic.

Plants for Success

in the Difficult Bulverde/Spring Branch Area

Presenter:  Lee Franzel, Comal Master Gardener

Comal Master Gardener Lee Franzel talks about how to have a pleasing landscape despite the thin, rocky, alkaline soil; the deer, drought and heat.  Handouts with plant lists will be given.  

Duration:  1.5 hours

Comal Master Gardener, Barbi Briney will help you to select plants that grow well together in containers. She’ll also demonstate how to plant a small potted gift.

Come learn how you can combine some of the plants that you already own or learn how to make interesting combinations that grow well in different sized garden pots.

The Hallway artist for March and April is Marilyn Brinker, currently Vice President of the Canyon Lake Art Guild, President of the New Braunfels Photographic Society and a member of the Seguin Oakwood Art league.

Her favorite mediums are photography and mixed media art. She also makes jewelry and sculpture and is known for computer graphics.
